.... that longtime Campbell High baseball coach Gordon Huntze played two sports while attending San Jose State? One, naturally, was baseball. Do you know the other?
... that George Tsamis, who played for Campbell Little League's national championship team in 1979 and went on to pitch for the Minnesota Twins in 1993, is the only major leaguer to have been born within the Campbell city limits?
... that Campbell Little League is one of only two leagues to make three Little League World Series appearances (1970, 1976, 1979) in the same decade? The other is Schenectady, N.Y., which reached the LLWS in 1953, 1954 and 1959, winning in '54.
... that Bob Miailovich, who in 1962, managed Moreland Little League to Northern California's only Little League World Series championship, had a grandson who played for Kirkland, Wash., in the 1980 LLWS?
... that Pat Hughes, the current play-by-play radio voice of the Chicago Cubs, played on the Campbell team that advanced to the Colt League World Series in 1971?
